Theodore Eisman

Theodore Eisman was a printing house in Leipzig, Germany. The cards are recognizable from their red lettered capitalized titles. On the back of most cards, "TH. E. L." abbreviation for "Theodor Eisman, Leipzig" is visible.

It is very likely that these cards were ordered by an Ottoman editor to be sold in their shop. They did not put their name on them as other publishers, therefore it is almost impossible to guess where these cards were sold. There are couple of distinct series of these cards. Two of these series are marked with Series 996 and Series 1039 on the back side but no card serial number. A different series does have individual card numbers but not a general Series identifier.
