Collection Sébah et Joaillier 439, Grande-Rue de Péra - Constantinople Leading photography studio from where the majority of the pictures on the postcards in this site come from. Inheriting the photography studio started by his father Pascal Sébah (1823-1886), Jean Sébah (1872-1947) went into partnership with a French photographer, Polycarpe Joaillier (1848–1904) in 1888 forming the Sébah et Joaillier Studio. The business was sold after Joaillier’s return to Paris in 1908 although the studio's name was retained and later changed to Foto Sabah.
